WILL REPEATING A MANTRA HAVE THE SAME EFFECT IF I DON’T KNOW ITS MEANING

Mantra chanting is not like taking medicine without knowing it. The medicine knows its work and will start working after its intake whether one knows / understand about it or not it do not matter.

It is expected in the same way the mantra should also start working once someone starts reciting it.

Mantra is a bunch of words which produce vibrations in subtle form when enchanted several times as per the directions of the guru or teacher. ( not going deep into the fundamentals of the working principles of the mantra ).

When a mantra is recited then it should be given by a Guru / master / expert who have knowledge about mantra shastra.

Whenever a Guru does gives a mantra to a person then he explains about it in simple form.

But when it comes about person like children then they are told by their parents that reciting of the given mantra is good for them and they should recite it, any their child also believes their parent and does it.

So, mantra does its work for the child in-spite of his not knowing / understanding about it. Again, it’s not like the working principle of medicine.

Here in the case of a child who do not understand the meaning and for an adult who knows the meaning of the mantra, in both the cases it works because the driving force of the mantra is the BHAVANA / EMOTION and the INTENTION.

Without the BHAVANA / EMOTION AND INTENTION, the mantra enchanting is like random reading which gives no PRAN / LIFE to the mantra to work.

If just by reading a mantra it starts working then in all book publishing house and writer will get the effects of it the moment they write and read it during the course of their working.

The BHAVANA / EMOTION AND INTENTION is the driving force which gives mantra a direction / path and the goal / target for its propagation.

So meaning and purpose both need to be understood first as mantra is a powerful group of words and it is not that easy to bring in life to it without the help of a GURU / MASTER / TEACHER / EXPERT.

If it is so then there are many mantra freely available in internet and books, and any Tom Dick or Harry ( Andu Pandu or Sandu ha ha ha . . . . ) can pick one and do anything with it.
