WHAT DOES EXALTED HOUSE MEAN IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY
In Vedic astrology, there are twelve houses or bhavas that represent different areas of life. Each of these houses is associated with a sign of the zodiac, and certain planets are said to be either exalted or debilitated in each house.
The exalted houses are the ones where a planet is said to be at its highest level of power and influence. When a planet is exalted in a particular house, it means that it is positioned in a favorable position in that house, and its energies are expressed in a positive and harmonious manner. The planet’s qualities and attributes are enhanced, and it can bestow its positive effects on the person.
It is like a person being comfortable in his own house ( please don’t say that one is comfortable in 5 star hotel, its is for understanding ha ha ha . . . . ), the same thing happens with the planet also and they are more expressive and comfortable in their house.
The following are the exalted houses for each planet in Vedic astrology:
Sun — exalted in the 1st house (Aries)
Moon — exalted in the 3rd house (Taurus)
Mars — exalted in the 6th house (Capricorn)
Mercury — exalted in the 6th house (Virgo)
Jupiter — exalted in the 4th house (Cancer)
Venus — exalted in the 12th house (Pisces)
Saturn — exalted in the 7th house (Libra)
Rahu — exalted in the 6th house (Taurus)
Ketu — exalted in the 12th house (Scorpio)
When a planet is exalted in a particular house, it is believed to bestow its positive effects on the person in areas related to that house. For example, if Jupiter is exalted in the 4th house, it can bring good fortune, happiness, and prosperity in areas related to home, family, and property.
The results of the exalted planet also get modified due to conjunction, aspects, degree, house from the ascendant and it will vary from person to person as per their horoscope.
It’s also important to note that exaltation is just one factor in Vedic astrology, and there are many other factors to consider when analyzing a person’s birth chart.
This is in general to give a small piece of information out of many other parameters.
The overall picture of a person’s chart should be considered only after taking all the parameters into consideration before making any predictions or interpretations.
