BIRTH TIME RECTIFICATION IN VEDIC ASTROLOGY

Many a time it happens that when we approach a Vedic astrology for horoscope analysis, it is seen that all the predictions or major predictions are untrue / wrong and we feel that the astrologer doesn’t know astrology.

There are some probabilities in this case

1 The astrologer is not fake and really knowledgeable but the Birth time given was not correct.

2 The astrologer is fake and donot have real knowledge of Vedic astrology.

In the 1st case then there is issue with the birth time and that is the reason the plotted horoscope is showing placement of the planets are not actuals and hence the predictions will be wrong too.

If we consider that 1st reason where the astrologer is compitent and have good knowledge of astrology and due to inaccurate birth time the erected horoscope give wrong interpretation, then there is a padhatti / system in astrology called BTR i.e birth time rectification and in common layman’s language its called time correction in horoscope.

If the birth is corrected and then erected the horoscope then one will get correct horoscope and all the prediction will also come correct.

Generally a good astrologer always check the birth time of the horoscope, if its accurate or not.

There are calculations in astrology for rectifying the birth time and arrive at accurate changed birth time, which when taken for horoscope calculations gives correct interpretations.

There are other ways also in astrology in making correction in the birth time by match birth time with the real event that happened in the life of that native.

In the vedic astrology there are many sub branches of astrology and each of them have their own padhatti / system and dictum. So different branches apply different system of calculations in order to rectify the birth time in order get correct horoscope for interpretation.

So, in nut shell time correction in the horoscope means to arrive at accurate birth time by which erecting a horoscope will give correct information of the planets by which prediction by the astrologer will be correct.

BTR ( birth time rectification ) is an academic subject and there are many branches of vedic astrology following different methods and so explaining in the article will be difficult as it is a lengthy subject. One need to refer books or learn it from competent teacher.
